Since the operation of YOFC in 1992, the output and sales of fibres has been up to 69.5 million kilometers and that of cables up to 1.51 million sheath-kilometers (with fibres of 44 million kilometers) while the gross sales is worth more than 25 billion RMB. The output and sales of fibers and cables has been ranking the first for 17 successive years in China. Now YOFC has become the second largest fibre manufacturer and the fifth cable manufacturer in the world.

In domestic markets, the fibre and cable products of YOFC have been widely employed by telecommunication carriers, including China Telecom, China Netcom, China Mobile, China Unicom, China Railcom, China Satcom, etc., and also in those industries involved in electric power, broadcasting & television, traffic, education, national defense, space technologies, petroleum, chemical engineering, medical treatment, etc., occupying over 40% domestic markets.

In overseas markets, the export of fiber and cable products by YOFC amounts to 13 million fiber-kilometers. The products have been sold to more than 50 countries including USA, Japan, Southeast Asia, Middle East, and etc., occupying over 10% international markets.
