As one of the most important optical fibre and cable suppliers, YOFC continuously pays high attention to the development of FTTx technologies and market, to provide the optical fibre cable products and solutions with the highest performance/cost ratio and best quality. Meanwhile, YOFC promoted the progress of several regarding standards according to practical applications.
International Telecommunication Union (ITU-T) updated the new version of ITU-T G.657 Recommendation (specification of bending insensitive single-mode fibres) on October 2009. In this new version, the main category structures, A and B, have been kept. “A” means fully compliant with G.652.D. “B” is not required to be complaint with G.652.D, smaller MFD, bigger attenuation coefficient and special fibre structures are permitted by “B”. Meanwhile, three bending levels are introduced to define sub-categories. Finally, A1, A2, B2 and B3 are four sub-categories based on the above classification rules. Bending levels are defined by minimum bending radius: bending level means that the minimum bending radius are suggested to be 10mm, 7.5mm and 5mm respectively.
YOFC EasyBand series fibre products are fully compliant or even better than the new ITU-T G.657 Recommendation:
 EasyBand (Mature product since March,2006): Satisfy the specifications of former G.657.A in 2006 version, and G.657.A1 in the new version.
 EasyBand Plus(Mature product since March,2006): Satisfy the specifications of former G.657.B in 2006 version, and G.657.A2 in the new version. As the G.657.A2 is backward compatible, consequently, all of the G.657.A2 fibres can satisfy the requirements of both G.657.A1 and G.657.B2 as well.
 EasyBand Ultra(Mature product since January,2009): Satisfy the specifications of former G.657.B in 2006 version, and G.657.B3 in the new version while still meeting the specifications of G.652.D.
YOFC will continuously research on reliable methods to evaluate the optical fibres combining practical applications in the FTTx projects, especially for the mechanical reliability in different application environments. YOFC will optimize the EasyBand series products persistently, to promote the development of FTTx in China and the world.
